Hi all, im on baclofen for 8 years i think, iv very stiff legs and walk slowly with a cane. The last 2 years my walking has got slower and legs more stiff. Neuro increased dosage up to 80mg. Im currently taking 70mg and it helps a bit. Just how come every time i increase dosage that i feel worse and stiffer. Hate it and makes me want to quit taking them. I have high hopes that it will make me walk a bit smoother and less stiff.

Hi Jimmy
I’m on 30mg baclofen and any more makes my head woolly, so to me 70-80mg seems a lot.
Baclofen, whilst reducing stiffness & spasms, is known to weaken the legs as a trade-off. I’m looking at alternatives such as sativex and other CBD options.
Lots of exercise too - stretching, yoga on the floor. The exercise bike is good too, forcing my bad leg to follow the good one. I’m too far gone to use it for a CV workout but good for mobility & coordination. Got to keep the machinery going and preserve leg strength.

Hi graeme, i used to exercise alot before the pandemic but not as much now. I do stretching and got an motomed bike yesterday. Baclofen doesn’t make my head woolly or make my legs weak. It just doesn’t seem to ease the stiff legs. I just feel weird when i increase the dosage and makes me not want to but i need something to ease the wooden legs. I may have to try cbd and hope it works.
Thanks
Jimmy
