Hi, new to this, just want ideas etc of people who have been through this. I am 46 diagnosed at 23 and getting tired of work. There are problems presenting because of my MS. Also job has changed and could change more, do I get out and put my health first or stick with work. Don’t know?!
Hi, best thing is to go on the sick. DONT leave, or it will affect pensions and payout.
I did retire on ill health from council job.
Let them finish you for best financial outcome.
I retired at 47, after 15 years and got a good outcome.

Getting tired of work is not the same as being eligible for ill health retirement and having MS is not a guarantee of a successful IHR application.
Perhaps you should look at reasonable adjustments first if possible. Good luck.
Very important that you make a strong case for IHR.
Being “tired of work” has reached epidemic proportions since so many the home-workers chose retirement or part-time rather than face the stress of a full return to work - and that’s even among healthy people.
You’re lucky to have something with a label, not that anyone is lucky to have MS, but it gives you a head start in discussing the future.
