major shooting pains in my neck

Hi everyone hope you are all emjoying the weather.

I was wondering if anyone else has had pains in there necks so bad it feels like someone is stabbing you in the neck and lower skull. I had it come on all of a sudden and it has made me really sick through the pain and I can’t let anyone touch my neck cause the pain is so bad.

If anyone can help then that would be great

Could be occipital neuralgia? I thought I had this, but it turned out to be migraine instead.

In MS, it’s caused by inflammation of the occipital nerve, which is at the back of the skull.

Definitely worth a phone call to your MS nurse I would think.
