Leg Stiffness and Baclofen

Hi - me again!!

I started with a flare 3 weeks ago which caused pain and huge stiffness in my legs and therefore I have been off work since. I was prescribed baclofen and have been taking 10mg in the morning and 10mg at night. It has helped me to sleep massively and has stopped the spasms in my leg. However my legs are really stiff and walking is very difficult and doesn’t seem to be improving. I just wondered what i should expect with baclofen as I’ve gone from taking nothing 2 weeks ago but my legs are really stiff. Any advice would be greatly received. Thank you x

Hi I took baclofen for spasms and spasticity but actually made me worse to the point I thought I was having a relapse. Speak to your neurologist and see what they say. Good luck x

Hi And if you can also get a physio on side. Mine helped me with exercises and pointed me in the direction of drugs which can help turn off/calm down spasticity. I am on tizanidine at the moment; but have been referred re a baclofen pump. Hope of help xxx
