Ill Health Retirement with PPMS

I was diagnosed with primary progressive MS in January 2013. I kept on working in a high-pressure environment until January 2017 at which point I was signed off by my doctor and never returned to work. I did offer to work three days per week for my employer but it was not practical for the business. I think stepping away from work without being signed off, would have been much more difficult.

Yes I definately agree that burnout almost certainly contributes to IHR, irrespective of also having long term illness to contend with.
I was a worker reliant on routine and incessantly ploughed through the work, every time, regardless of due self care --possibly a sure-fire route to my P45.

Thank you that is helpful too. It seems very sad to end a long career on sick leave but I suppose that is the problem with PPMS rather than RR.
