How much do you worry about symptoms?

I blame the MS for commenting on a post that’s four years old and everything else. I suppose if your symptoms aren’t that severe and you can still function then you shouldn’t complain and make the best of it.

I have a constant weakness on my left-hand side but I am still pretty good for someone who has had active ms for ten years.

Still haven’t found a DMD that I can tolerate, which is a shame. Oh well.

Thanks Welshboy, I just reread through all of the previous posts and thought about them a bit more. Previously I’d just thought, ‘oh old post, not very related to OP’, but actually, I was wrong. It has everything to do with the OP. The fact is that MS is a complete sod and the temptation is always there to blame everything little thing on the MS. Then to wonder, is it in fact MS?

It’s MS that’s to blame. We never know whether something is related to MS or completely unrelated. The temptation is to always blame the MS but that’s not always true.

That’s the trouble with MS - it should stand for mysterious syndrome. There are a whole load of things that get posted on here that are maybe MS and maybe mysterious syndrome.

OP? It’s not really MS is it? It’s our immune systems that are broken. Multiple scarring is the consequence, thinking that the protein in the Myelin sheaves is a foreign body. We could have any of the plethora of auto-immune conditions, we just happen to have this one. It is crap, it is thoroughly crap but mine is relatively good at the moment, so I have to be thankful for that. I’m off to Greece tomorrow with some of my family, so I am very grateful for that.

Have a good weekend.

Thanks.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

I know this is an old thread, but still seems relevant as do all the other threads. Also acts as a warning I s’pose

Had major pins and needles, at least similar to if not worse than the rest of my body (constant Lhermittes) down my right wrist and hand.

Kept thinking for months “oh s**t, the MS is getting worse and now affecting the only limb I have no problem with.”

Had the conductivity tests done and it’s only Carpal Tunnel.

Operated on last week, hopefully it goes well and goes away.

Spent ages worrying, panicking and stressing out.

It’s taught me not every thing is related to MS and to speak with the GP/ consultants when I start to worry. Always wait a fair while to see the GP to see if whatever’s wrong with me will cure itself- self employed and can’t afford to be off sick!

Take care everyone.
