How I was told I had MS

Reading Don’s blog and all of your stories; not a bundle of laughs, we do get the short end of the stick a lot. But there are plenty of positive stories as well, which is nice.

i get on very well with my neurologist, despite the way he told me I had MS. I had 9 weeks in hospital after a fall and some blackouts. While I was there the neuros did tests for a week or two, then I went into a rehab ward so I could be helped into being fit enough to go home. Expected to get a visit from the neuros but didn’t. By week 8 I was so fed up I rang his secretary from my hospital bed!!

He turned up and said “Sorry, we thought you’d been discharged.” Then he gave me the news.

I was actually pleased to be able to put a name to the mysterious neurological condition they’d been uncertain about for four years.
