Brilliant blog Don, as usual.
Trying to explain to non msers about fatigue is just too difficult, so like you, I just say ‘I’m fine thanks’ with gritted teeth, and sometimes I feel like the next person to say ‘you look well’ had better get out the way…fast!
Because I use a wheelchair, they realise immediately my legs are not good, but with MS, it’s all the unseen symptoms they can’t grasp, and yes, talking truly exhausts me.
I understand and feel your frustràtion.

Don, I’ve made the effort to get out this week. Today I sat in the sun in my wheelchair then took the scooter to the supermarket.
In the fruit and veg a woman came bounding up to me-yes bounding. She was quite a bit older. She started eulogising about my Tramper. I had to talk back as she told me how she used hers with a special hook to hold the dog’s lead. As I’d had my full quota of tea, the whole operation was meant to be a quick smash and grab for spring onions. So I ended up knackered from talking and all anxious about needing the loo.

Don, Just read your blog. Very well written and described. It just adds to the fatigue to try and explain how you are really feeling. You will find lots of people on here understand. We may not be able to take yr pains away or f8x your broken body sadly. But we stand (or sit) beside you every shuffle of the way. Sending hugs Anne x
