Up to 1800 per day, thinking of going back to GP as don’t feel any benefit.

Tony… go back to GP and ask to try Pregabalin. Lots of people think it’s much better. It’s more expensive than Gabapentin which is why they always prescribe Gaba first.

Maximum dose of Gabapentin is 3600mg daily, in 3 equally divided doses.
I am on 2400 at the moment (900, 600, 900). Only possible side effect is fatigue - picked this up from a generic Gaba information leaflet which was later changed (no mention of fatigue). After talking to my MS nurse, I cut back to 2100. The results were not conclusive (too many other possible reasons.
On two occasions when I have gone to bed early, and gone over 9 hours before the next dose, I have woken in some pain - which has gone within 30 minutes of taking the morning dose. So, for me, it seems to work.
