First private neurologist appointment - advice please!

Hello everyone, I have my first private neurologist appointment on Monday and I was wondering if anyone has any advice on what expect during the appointment, what to ask and how best to explain my symptoms? I had an appointment with NHS GP a few days ago who thinks I have POTS but believes there is something else neurological alongside it, and he has encouraged me to continue with the neurology appointment. My B12, Iron levels etc all normal. My main symptoms include overwhelming fatigue, frequent urination, skin sensations such as burning, crawling and feeling of water on my calf but nothing there, temperature irregulation, raynauds syndrome, red ear syndrome, pins and needles, and occassional numbness/tingles.

Any advice on what to expect from my appointment, how best to present or describe symptoms and any useful questions to ask would be realy appreciated, thank you so much!

Wishing you all the best with your appointment!!

First neurologist appointment they asked me questions about history - medical history, symptoms history and family history. They did some physical tests where they asked things like “look here”, “touch there”, “move this part” and “can you feel this? How does it feel?”

Symptoms are hard to describe sometimes but they do find ways to get the descriptions out of you - just describe how you can no matter how odd it sounds out loud and they will likely ask questions to understand better. For example a couple of my descriptions were felt like “stepped in a puddle” and “phone ringing on me” and they found a way to elaborate.

I wish I would’ve asked about next steps… I meant to but it felt like a bit of a whirlwind and so I forgot!

Hope all goes well on Monday!!
