Well done James - you put the points of a 5-2 diet so well - and easy to understand. lts not just a weight loss diet - it is also for better health.
All l can add is – do not keep cakes/biscuits/crisps etc in the house to tempt you away from the straight and narrow [thighs!!] - AND always use a smaller plate for your meals. lt really does make your food portion look bigger.
A photo of a very obese person on your fridge door also makes you stop and think – ‘that could be me - oh - it is’.
