Slug, l think you answered your own question - You found you were more energised on the day you ate 1,000 calories - think how much more energised you would feel if you did manage the 500/600 calories. Cut out the carbs - these are what sap my energy levels. Any bread/grain of any sort - just wipes me out. And upsets my tum - l end up spending hours on the loo!
Boiled eggs are good protein - as long as you do not eat bread with them.
l remember my parents did not feed our dogs on one day a week. lt was to give the dogs digestive system a rest. This was years ago. But our dogs were so fit and well - and lived a very long time with no joint problems or skin conditions.
Yes, but a day is easy. 3 out of 7 seems a little obsessive. And 1000 cals was easy because when I got hungry I ate, 500-600 wouldn’t let me do this.
and today, although can prob manage 1000, if I had anything less I would feel hungry and have already had to eat more than intended so as not to feel weak. It’s a balance xx
The logic of your argument here gets a wee bit shaky beyond that point, though!
I suppose the main thing here is the usual one - we each know our bodies pretty well and the trick is to do something that makes sense in our particular circumstances. I’m with BeccaT on needing to make sure that I don’t get hungry because that is a real symptom-trigger - evidently I’m not a ‘good doer’ (I do like that term!) and of course that colours my views generally, even when I’m trying to be objective. C’est la vie. Bon appetit!
