Sounds good Pat for newly DX people, but am I being totally pessimistic by thinking how can it help with disability that has been years in the making?
I DO think someday the powers that be will get to the root causes of MS, but not in my lifetime, but if it helps some, that’s got to be good.
Lovely sunny morning here, but clouds appearing now, take care.

Very true Pam. So unusual to have ANY good news about PPMS treatments …even though getting nearer to licensing in the US does not mean it will be available here anytime soon.
Was lovely here too but a few clouds now. I actually went out on mob scooter! Had a very minor op last week (extremely minor…had an infected weird growth removed) & had stitches out this morning. 3 stitches Tehe. But was nice to be out in the sunshine for a while.

This is the Barts Blog take on it.

I would be delighted if newly diagnosed PPMS could have the progression slowed by drugs. I think it’s a bit late for me. I just want to be able to run down the road waving my arms shouting something about private parts. It won’t happen. I wouldn’t run the risk of arrest.
Best wishes, Steve.
I wonder if they’ll consider it effective in those of us who have had the condition for a few years but who are still quite mobile etc to try and keep us independent for longer. Thoughts??
It was lovely and bright and quite warm here this morning but by lunch time it felt really icy. Hope you’re all okay, have a good weekend.

Hi Cath, I’d be prepared to live the rest of my life with this level of disability if I knew it wouldn’t get any worse. Be great to take something to stop progression.
Cold, frosty morning in London although lovely sunshine.
I have a busy day. A meeting this morning (we have residents meeting here every 6 weeks) & this afternoon an old work friend coming to see me with her two young children. I was tempted to put her off but she’s the only one from work who has kept in touch, bless her. Going to have tea in the communal lounge downstairs as my flat is such a mess.
Oh I will be SO happy when this kitchen work is done. Should be finished by Tuesday or Wednesday. I am SO sick of living in a mess. I want my NORMAL life back!!!

Wont be too long now Pat, i know just what you mean, i cant cope with having things done in the house these days,i used to love decorating and getting new things, but these days i just put it off, i used to be so house proud too.Its taking me ages to adjust to not being able to give my home a good clean, old habits die hard, mine certainly do lol.
Its a beautiful sunny day here, my family are going to coast for a day out, they feel guilty me not being able to go, but i have told them to go enjoy it for me.
