My meeting after O.H report is next week, I have union rep attending.
yes it wasnt bad thanks Pauline, she forced cake down me. I told her I wanted to be considered for phased return, but she said she couldnt seeing as I was falling over and my balance was crap. She kept emphasising it would be better to stay off til i find out whats going on or until im actually better. Ill ring the union on monday and ask them what to do.
Im sitting here with hardly anything on, been boiling all day, dont tell me im menopausal too!
This is what I asked for and was refused for same reasons, G.p should cover you with sick notes, I fought against it at first I rang my union, they said be ill and go through the motions as with all the symptoms you mention you are likely to make yourself worst.
You have a lot to deal with at the moment, be kind to yourself this is a lengthy road you could be off work for a while, I’ve been off sick now for 3 months I’m expecting to be off another month,thats if they do take me back, I have contacted access to work so any support will need to be set up before I go back.

You are entitled to get a second opinion what ever. This request needs to be made though your GP, you just need to be persistent with the GP and eplain to them why.
I wish I got a second opinion when I first became unwell.
MRI booked for may 2nd. Looks like I’ll be off sick even longer then.
Hi, I understand your frustration. When I went to my GP because I had gone blind in one eye and I couldn’t walk she told me it was the weather!!? and “go see an optician”. Needless to say I won’t see her now!
I’ve been lucky because everyone else I’ve seen Neuros, MS Nurse etc have been great and to be honest I wouldn’t of been able to cope otherwise.
But you are having MRI so it wasn’t a waste of taxi fare you’re a step closer.
If you can’t work at the moment then you can’t work. Your health and wellbeing is whats important, I’ve been signed off since Halloween due to relapse and work keep making me go for stupid health meetings where they ask me impossible questions like “how long do you think you’ll have the condition?” I’ve tried to explain FOREVER! Now they want a report from the GP, When they requested that I just thought yeah good luck with that he doesn’t treat my MS everybody else does and when I was explaining Tysabri JC virus and PML to him he was amazed he said " the only advice I can give you is listen to Dr Harley (my Neuro) hes the expert" At least the GP was honest!! To be fair to him I could be his only patient with MS.
Please try not to be disheartened, easy to say I know, but no point getting too upset and making yourself even worse.
Good luck with tests and I hope anyone you see in future has better bedside manner and puts you at ease.
