CIS Limbo land

Hi,

I have been diagnosed with CIS today. Background of left foot numbness since 2020, lesions in spine. CSF clear, no bands. Repeat MRI in 6 months…is there anything i can do while i am.in limbo??? Thanks

Hi
Sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with CIS.
This can be a long road I myself was diagnosed with CIS in 2014 I had spinal lesions plus a positive lumber puncture with bands.
It has taken 7 years for me to get a MS diagnosis even though I had continued symptoms.
You have to meet the McDonald criteria which is worth reading up about.
There is nothing to say you will go on to develop MS I was told you have a higher chance if your lumber puncture is positive.
Try not to worry to much there is nothing you can do, wait and see what your next scan shows.
