Angina

Hi, I receive ESA & PIP , I have been diagnosed with Stable Angina and was wondering if it would be of benefit to me to let them know of this condition.

That depends on whether it will make a difference to your award. If you’re in the support group for ESA I wouldn’t as it is irrelevant. If you on the enhanced rate of PIP for both components equally it will make no difference.

If you don’t get top rate PIP or aren’t in the support group, think about whether it will increase your level. Try a sample test on benefitsandwork.co.uk for PIP. If it makes no beneficial difference then I’d wait till the next time you have to complete the forms.

Because reporting a change could spark off the need to reapply altogether.
