An apology

I feel I owe the users of this site an apology, I’m not as bad as most of you. I use you lot when I have an off day, you all have bigger problems than I do reading about them puts mine in perspective. Last night I was woken up by a burst of TN, I took a pill, now I am waiting, will it to come back when the affect of the pill wears off.

David

possibly. TN can be a PITA and come out of nowhere and sometimes never happens again. But more often than not it does come back. What did you take for it since generally “normal” pain meds do nothing and if it did it might not have been TN. what ever you do if the pain does come back or get worse do not let your dentist pull teeth thinking that is the cause, unless of course it is a rotten tooth that needs pulled. nerve pain meds help for some people you have TN, others it is a case of grin and bare it and try not to hit someone because of the pain :stuck_out_tongue:

david

firstly forget the apology-not needed, we all use this site for various reasons!

re tn, there are medications to help or icecubes to face/jaw. i begged my dentist to remove 2 teeth 8 yrs ago and have no regrets at all-it has never returned. drastic i know but please be certain of the cause before taking action!

Hi David,

This forum doesn’t have an entry level. One regular contributor don’t even have MS but we wouldn’t want to lose her. She’s given lot of people much comfort with her wisdom and words of sympathy.

I had TN once but was so relieved when it turned out to be a chipped molar. Anyway, if I thought I was susceptible because of MS I’d be very scared indeed.

I chip in mostly for the craic.

Regards,

Anthony

Saying sorry because your MS might not be quite bad enough sounds like something you read on a list called ‘Things that you will only ever hear a British person say.’

As Paolo says, there is no entrance exam on here, so please feel welcome.

Of course there’s no need at all to apologise.

I don’t have MS anymore! Sounds crazy I know, but I kind of did for several years, when I was wrongly diagnosed with PPMS!.

But I continue loiter around this forum cos I’ve connected with so many folk, made long term friends and what else would I do with so much time on my hands! Besides members have urged me not to leave.

I get so much from this group and try to offer support and advice when I can.

We’re not a bad bunch of crocks when you get to know us!

Not Paolo, my apologies - Anthony. (Anthony, my gentle wits were scattered by those big eyes you’ve got.)

I thought that would flush out the dirty minded. It’s my shoe size, you degenerate.

I deduct £5 for the Frankie Howard impression and name dropping.

And what’s the semi colon and half a parenthesis supposed to mean? Your recidivist’s punctuation won’t even get you a job on The Guardian.

I tried to put in a winking smiley - wink- but I was posting from my phone so it just came up as an old fashioned text emoticon.

And I demand my £5 back for your failure to identify 20th Century cultural references correctly. Anybody would think that you had no knowledge of Lobby Lud and his colleagues Lobby Lud - Wikipedia. Noone on the Manchester Guardian then laugh

Ants’ huge eyes on his new ‘photo’ are truly unnerving. I’m not actually certain it’s a true likeness, but just the implication is enough to scare the pants off me.

Hi Boblatina (Rather an odd name. Are you from Wales?)

  1. You’re using a phone as a post box? Weird.
  2. I am a 20th Century cultural reference.

For heaven’s sake! Sue. Leave you pants alone for once.

My pants = your fault.

At least I didn’t use the phrase ‘Gives me the willies’!
