Hi again Paul. You messaged me in February regarding your feelings about telling your friends and family. I’m really hoping by now you’ve cleared that hurdle and lightened that load. You don’t have to do this crap alone you know. Good luck.
Lemtrada isn’t a cure, it can help a lot but its not a cure and doesn’t repair any damage that has been done. And the side effects can be pretty bad
Hi Paul
In my experience, how you deal with it can effect how those around you deal with it. If you’ve been diagnosed for 6 months and they haven’t cottoned in to there being something wrong with you, you must be dealing with it pretty well. If that is because you keep yourself to yourself when your MS rears is ugly head or because you have been ok it doesn’t matter, they haven’t noticed enough to ask questions. Telling them now will make life easier if you need to be around them or ask for a bit of help in the future, they will be used to the news by then so not have the shock of the MS tag. If they see you just carrying on as you have been so far, they will learn that it’s not the end of the world and you can still live life.
