Well at least you know that in India you’d get good treatment. I know you have to pay for it, but it’s a fraction of the cost of a private neurologist in the U.K.
The thing you’d have to be wary of though is that if you then are diagnosed with MS and want to access DMDs on the NHS, you’d probably have to be re-diagnosed in the U.K. A neurologist would have to be able to satisfy the prescribing conditions set by NICE.
I assume your parents are not suggesting that you relocate? I can see their point though, they want to be sure their child gets suitable diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible.
It might be cheaper to see a private neurologist in the U.K. You’d have to pay for at least the initial appointment, but it might be possible to have tests, etc done on the NHS following an initial appointment. See if you can find a private MS specialist neurologist who also has an NHS practice. It could cut the waiting time down.
Please keep in mind though, that many, many people look up their symptoms and decide that they fit the criteria for MS only to find that they don’t have it. It’s too tempting to fit your symptoms into an MS diagnosis when there are a lot of other disorders that might look like MS from your standpoint.
