Foot Drop. Advice. needed badly please
I tried walking backwards earlier…crikey! I’d almost forgotten how much ground I could cover with a single pace!

Good call Poll, I will be trying to work out a little warm-up for myself since I can step sideways fairly well

Thank you
Sonia, l think we could all join in a ‘formation team’ side together -back together- side together ’ almost a square tango!!

Derek, SAFO’s are good - l have had one for about 6yrs. Hoping to try a WalkAide wireless FES - Wondering if it would help pick up my knee as well as foot!

Tee hee, I walked across the car park diagonally this evening, it worked really well til I thought I should even it up on the other side… well, you can imagine, I kind of went in a semi-circle and had to stop before I fell as it all went a bit spinny lol

I’m gonna write a special MS exercise routine… I feel a challenge coming on  I don’t think there’ll be an ‘aerobic curve’ as such as most of us don’t want to get too hot but I know a lot of us want to stretch and for that to be affective, we do need a proper warm up! Let’s see if I can do it without breaking any furniture/bones

Helo everyone,

I don’t go onto the MS site very often. Saw this lengthy thread. I’ve got foot drop as well as leg drop. Basically unable to lift my left leg and cannot lift front of foot off the ground. Balance is pretty squiffy as well

Have any of you tried the MUSMATE. Not very pretty but very efficient. Only costs about £100 and no fussing wih the NHS. Google it or go onto audioboo.fm and search for aid4disabled and there are a few shots of me with the musmate. I talk about it on my website

It is extremely practical and has given me a new life. Used it for about 5 years.

In case you are wondering I do not get any commission, that question has been asked before. I am talkig about it for the good of MS sufferers. We tend not to get an awful fair deal. Take it from me this really does work.

Good luck,

Patrick
