Switching countries meant starting the paperwork again, and the things that helped most were the ones I nearly did not bother collecting: the operation note itself rather than the discharge summary, the imaging on a disc as well as the report, and a one-page list of medications with the generic names rather than the brands. The one thing I could not get was the original histology, which nobody could find. What did you need that you had not thought to ask for in advance?
