had a shock this morning,in a good way, to a big picture in the hall, a surprise birthday present (thought I’d had my pressie) it is a limited edition print by Doug Hyde, that we saw at an exhibition of his work. We both liked it, he hung it while I was still in bed, sneaky! beautifully framed,…spoiled my.plan to get if for him, never mind I’ll think of something else!

Hi Poll, it’s called Pride and joy, the smiley character with a black and white cat, we first saw it on board the QM in the only time can get hubby in an art gallery is at sea!We both liked it and almost purchased it on board, the other paintings(of horses) were way out of our price range, beautiful but pricey, can understand the price,but it was eyewatering, still you pay for originals…if you can!

Oh yes, my hubby has always been full of surprises, he kept a crocodile up the loft for months!..6’ plush, he even took me back to the shop to prove it had gone, yes it had gone because it was in my loft!..love my crocodile, I put it down to not having had a teddy bear (the fondness for a soft toy,that is!)
