Walking in the air

For a long time I’ve been dragging my left foot making it a tripping hazard on any pavement.

However, today was my third visit to the physiotherapist as organised by the consultant.

This morning she gave me a simple device. I can’t remember the technical term for it but all it consists of is a kind of strong fabric cuff that fixes round my ankle with velcros. Attached to that are two sturdy elastic strands that fix to a couple of eyeholes in my shoe that the laces go through.

It works! Much easier to walk with confidence so I walked at least a mile today.

Thanks to my physio Millie

Sounds like a Boxia and they do work pretty well, although the best solution for drop foot I have found is the remarkable FES.
