I would be interested to know how many with an ms diagnosis were diagnosed with vit d deficiency prior to actual diagnosis of ms and if medics attributed all their symptoms to vit d deficiency alone and ms was never discussed at this point. i am aware of link between vit d deficiency and ms and that symptoms can be similar.

Thanks, serina

Hi Serina,

I was found to have low vitiman D and b12 by the GP before he referred me on to neurology and the gastro. MS was never discussed at this point, GP was following a working dx of coeliac’s disease.

Low Vit D and b12 can both mimic symptoms found in MS, have you been given supplements to try and bring your levels back up? It’s important as well to have your blood checked regularly for the levels, too much can cause toxicity.

Good luck,

Laura.
