Thought it was the hug - but no

Last Saturday I got the most dreadful pain in my chest. Other decided to get me a and e as he thought it was heart attack. Whilst there I started to be sick (both ends). Turns out that I have salmonella poisoning. I am recovering slowly. I really thought it was the dreaded hug as never had it before. Moyna x

good lord!

upsetting!

get well soon!

It just goes to show, not everything’s related to MS!

Best of luck getting over the Salmonella. I’ve had it myself years ago. I still remember it well, but not terribly affectionately!

poor you, glad you went to A&E, salmonella is serious!

Wishing you a speedy recovery

Hi have had RRMS for last 3 years I take Copaxone daily and have been managing well with no incidents. Last Saturday my right knee went into a “spasm” for a few minutes, I thought I had just locked my knee but my leg has since felt “heavy” and “numb” I’m guessing that this has been a relapse ? Anybody agree/disagree and should I contact MS nurse or consultant ? Thanks for any advice

Fiona

Hi Fiona,

Your post is added to a thread headed “Thought it was the hug - but no” so will be quite hidden. If you repost as a new thread with it’s own heading you’re likely to get more replies.

Personally, I think it might be a relapse. On the other hand had your knee just had “heavy use” or something along those lines that might explain it? If there was a continuing definite problem your GP would be the first call I guess, it still might be but does your MS nurse call back within a couple of days? If so I’d ask the nurse about it.

Oh Moyna. You must have been really scared.

Hope you feel better very soon.

Take care.
