Hello, I got home from work yesterday to find a rather disturbing letter. I had a brain MRI about a month ago after a referral to a neurologist. Basically, symptoms were weird tingling sensations across my face that came and went and weird sort of whooshing sensations in my lower arms and legs. Other than that, nothing really. It also massively improved after taking HRT (I am 45). Anyhow, last night, after almost forgetting all about it, found a letter from neurologist that says “showing white matter lesions which raise the possibility of an inflammatory cause”. She has ordered another of the brain and cervical spine with contrast.
I am terrified - I am a single parent to two young children and terrified of what this could mean. Other that the tingling, all physical neuro exams they have done have been fine!
Hopefully the new MRI scans will give a clearer understanding of what might have caused the lesions. There are many things that can cause them, as well as MS. Just try to take each step at time - hard to do, and hard not to worry.

Thank you. I know, I’m trying to stop myself from obsessively googling!
