Tecfidera and breathlessness

I’ve been on Tecfidera for around 6 weeks and along with the lovely hot flushes, backache, stomach pain etc, I’ve also been experiencing breathlessness. Now, I do smoke (resolution to give up next year), so obviously it could be the fags; but I’ve never had this before and it correlates with starting the Tec.

Has anyone else had this? Hope you all had as good a Christmas as possible and very best wishes for 2017 xx

get in touch with your ms nurse asap.

see your gp who may want to refer you to the hospital, as not everything is down to ms.

i’ve never had this side effect and don’t think i know of anyone who has.

Consider the following:

For hot flushes - anti-histamines

For stomach cramps - paracetamol

For just plain and simple common sense - quit smoking tobacco
