symptoms - fatigue

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone has experienced increased fatigue even when you’ve had a good night’s sleep? It’s becoming one of the hardest symptoms for me to manage. Has anything made a noticeable difference for you, whether it’s medication, pacing, exercise, or something else?

Hi! You’re definitely not alone. Fatigue can be one of the most difficult symptoms to deal with, even after getting what seems like a full night’s sleep. I’ve found that pacing activities, taking regular breaks, staying hydrated, and listening to my body’s limits can help a little, although it’s different for everyone.

If fatigue is also affecting your mobility or making daily activities more challenging, you might find this resource helpful. It explains how mobility support can help people maintain independence and manage everyday tasks more comfortably: Mobility & Walking Support for Elderly in Manchester

I hope you find something that works for you. Wishing you all the best, and I’d be interested to hear what has helped others too.

hello! second the above ^ you are absolutely not alone with it.

fatigue is a common and extremely debilitating symptom, and can be tough even when managed well. speaking personally, I’ve found it’s so much worse in the current humidity - even with a solid eight or so hours of quality sleep - and even when managed, it is still difficult. I work part-time (around 14-28 hours per week) and do training courses and personal projects alongside; none of this work is particularly gruelling but I often feel exhausted and heavy all the day through. it can feel random, too - even when paced and managed you still just feel depleted. it’s particularly hard when I remember the fitness I used to enjoy and took for granted not that long ago.

taking regular breaks, eating three good meals (lots of probiotics!), getting as much sleep as possible, drinking water, exercising as much as the body allows, and knowing when to relax all help me sustain a good-enough rhythm for the week. and as others have no doubt said, listen to the body as much as you are able.

a holistic approach seems to suit, too. wishing you all the best with it - take care

Fatigue is horrible. I remain physically ok. Mine happens if I use my eyes too much. If I’ve been reading, out in the garden checking the plants, if I’ve been on a car or train journey and looking out of the window. Even if I’ve been to the shops and looking for things on the shelves, keeping an eye on my surroundings to try not to bump into anything My eyes will go very tired like they just need to close and, my brain will slow down like when a car has hit a big puddle.
