steroids

Hello everybody. Thanks for all the help in the recent weeks. I am starting to get back to me with all things starting to improve daily. The steroid were really a godsend and I would not have got through last week without them. I am meeting the oncologist in the morning to sort out the radiotherapy etc and I am so grateful I am able to walk/limp to be able to get the treatment. Neuro will be in Nov and I will learn more about the relapse etc. I do not like the thought of starting dmd’s as with all the cancer treatment I am taking for the next ten years I really am scared to start more drugs. I will see what oncologist says in morning. Thanks again xxx

Hi marydan

Glad you’re feeling better. With regard to DMDs, ask the oncologist his/her view. Obviously the anti-cancer drugs are more important in the short term, but once you are started on them and your system is tolerating them well, if it’s possible to take a DMD, you should think about it.

If you consider the relapse you’ve just had, hopefully you’ll get complete remission from it, but if you can avoid any further relapses, that would be a bonus.

Stay well, and come back to us if you need help, advise or moral support.
