Anything’s worth a try, but I’ve learned the expensive way not to spend an arm and a leg on premium CBD oil. It did zero for me, and I could have bought zero for nothing!

Well done trying to get off the prescription sleepers. These things are a blessing in an emergency but no joke to come off when your system has got a little bit too used to them. I hope that you find something to help you through as you re-establish your natural sleeping patterns again.

Hi @mchl.

Not being able to sleep properly is certainly no fun 😕

I was getting about 30 minutes a night sleep when I was on steroids. I’d spend most of the early hours and next morning pottering round doing housework to try to wear myself out. It didn’t really work but, the house was lovely.

I did once bath the dogs at 3am. I think my ears are still ringing from the telling off after they ran up the stairs and got in bed with the missus 🤣

Well done for working towards ditching the pills 👍

I find that if I start reading something technical around 8:30-9pm. My brain is tired enough for bed at around 10:30pm.

This is helping me to get back into a normal routine.

Good luck and all the best mate 👍 x

Jon.

That would put a strain on domestic harmony, wouldn’t it? 😀

Yes those steroid white nights - I remember them well! Nothing for it but to stay occupied some way or other.

Hi Alison.

It was fine here. We all look back and laugh at some of the stuff that happened.

My daughter came downstairs and found me eating a banana and having a cuppa at 2am one day (that was me up and awake for the day). She asked what I was doing and if I knew what time it was.

I heard my missus getting out of bed so, I said to our daughter - do you know you can tell the time with a banana. She looked confused then, my missus came in the room and said 'what the fk are you doing, it’s 2o’clock in the morning.

I looked at my daughter and said - see?

Then my missus wondered why she was laughing 🤣

I think it helps if you can hang onto a sense of humour when things go a bit wonky 👍🙂 x
