should i get a LP

hi, i’ll try to not take up much of your time. i have not been diagnosed with ms but from what i’ve read it seems like i could be in the right place. so about over half a year ago i randomly started going numb almost head to toe along with a few other symptoms such as shooting pains, tingling, and a head fog i couldn’t shake. i went to the dr. and had a ct, mri, and a ncs test. the ct and mri was clear and the ncs only showed carpal tunnel in my hand. but since then things have been on and off. a few months later when symptoms started going away both my legs when completely numb and then after i started twitching in both my legs and it has only progressed from there to body wide and pins and needles all the time now. so my question is am i out of line in asking for a spinal tap or am i barking up the wrong tree. thank you for your time if you’re reading this.

Hi, sometimes you do have to be a bit pushy to get things done.

LPs and MRIs dont always give proof of MS, so neuros dont jump to conclusions. They wait for further evidence/episodes. ASk to be re referred.

Hi stoire what has happened since your post? I’m in a bit of a similar situation. LPs are expensive to pay for privately.
