Just when I was greatly expecting (and needing) grey skies, here is a heatwave
Climate change is to blame (partly)
I’m still smoking cos all the time the weather is this disgusting, it’s no time for me to be trying to stop something
And get this, I stopped drinking in January this year…and all my (7) relapses came in July and August
This weather drives me to distraction
I hope we have the coldest winter on record…if it it ever gets here
I came up with a new tip for the hot weather and wish I had thought of it last year. If I have to go out in the heat, I take my shirt off and drench the top half with cold water, give it a bit of a swing to shake off the excess, then put it back on. The cold water evaporates and wicks away the heat and keeps you much cooler.
Met office says it feels like 30 degrees c outside right now. I’m inside but have still dampened my top and it’s doing a reasonable job of keeping me cool. Hope the tip helps!
Veexo87, as an ex-smoker myself, I am able to follow (sort of) the logic of waiting for the weather to improve before giving up, but the logic does not bear close inspection, as you and I both know, don’t we?
