Rites of passage

Hello all.

It must be the cold weather or something but I’ve been glued to the sofa this week. I’ve been writing and hopefully thinking. Do people who become affected by a chronic condition have more rites of passage? I can certainly think back to the important landmarks which have defined the effect of my illness. I know some of us are reluctant to move from walking stick to wheelchair or from working to non-working. Here are some thoughts if you wish to read them.

Best wishes, Steve.

Yep rites of passage is a great way to describe the stages.

Great blog as per usual.

Brilliant Blog Steve, iv’e missed out on the diagnosis and stick but went straight to wheelchair, but it is a rite of passage this week ive felt weaker than ever and having a wheelchair that will be suitable for indoors is another rite of passage…I didnt choose this but acceptance isnt giving up, if anything it gives me hope and a new way of achieving things.
