Hi guys Git my second MRI today and am sooo nervous…hate small spaces and the only way I managed last time was to close my eyes before I went into it !! Stupid or what Karen, if there are changes on MRI what do u think they are likely to do with me?? The neuro in Cardiff is excellent but never tells me what he is thinking. After the last time I saw him when he noted reduced sensation with pin on right side, he ordered the MRI… Going to take some of my precious amytriptaline before going in as it makes me quite drowsy lol Kate Xxxx
I’ve got my repeat MRI on wednesday, thankfully it doesn’t bother me. When you close your eyes try to imagine yourself somewhere where you love to be somewhere peaceful in nature, say lying on a beautiful beach with the gentle noise of the waves washing on the beach and try to stay focused on that. Hope all goes well

Hi Kate, hope the MRI was better than you anticipated. I find it helps listening to music…Westlife in particular!
How long have you had problems.

Hi poll…took 40 mins without contrast same as last time and am picking up copy of MRI tomorrow as paid for copy. See neuro in about three weeks since report will take at least two. I have had probs for last two years with right side and last MRI found couple lesions but as suffer migraine…possible that was cause BUT sensory on right side worse and weakness comes and goes as well as fatigue never experienced before…lots of little things AND a crushing around my back which is very new…sitting on heated massage chair now to see if it helps lol… Work full time as midwife so find it hard to get rest and hate being off sick…so just trying to plod lol Kate Ps the MRI wasn’t too bad…just lay down, shut my eyes and opened them once out lol
Had email from neuro who knows ave had MRI today and arranged neuro appt for 2weeks time…maybe just maybe some answers

It wasn’t terribly helpful mind you: along the lines of “What the neuro says depends on what the changes are”, but at least you don’t have long to wait now to find out

Just picked up my copy of MRI and really don’t know why I looked at it!! Can’t see anything lol… Gave me a chuckle though Kate x
I couldn’t stop looking at mine found it facinating- but i too don’t know what i’m looking at.
At least I can say I’ve got a brain, I’ve seen the evidence lol
