Rebif is delivered in a cool box with those freezer cool blocks to keep the drug cold whilst its been delivered.
The delivery driver takes this packaging back with them.
You are left with a small cardboard box with injections in it which fits easily into the fridge.
I recycle this box when empty. It fold flat and is pretty small.
The injections themselves are wrapped in a plastic and paper wrapper. I don’t recycle this myself. I put it in the bin but they take up very little room.
The used syringe is put into a sharps bin which is also collected by the delivery driver when you have filled it and you are given a new one.
thanks for the reply. I’ve got an application form for redemption from the three bag rule, can’t use rebif packaging as a reason then!
It’s a crazy rule I’ve got five of us living in my home, and the lady opposite is on her own. She’s allowed three bags just for her and we struggle to limit it to three!
No harm in trying the rebif on the redemption form. They most likely won’t check what rebif packaging is like anyway. Its worth a try!
I can’t imagine how you manage with only 3 bags anyway! We have a wheelie bin emptied every 2 weeks and recycling every 2 weeks. It differs so much in different areas doesn’t it?
My neighbours are an old couple and they have little waste so often if mine is full they tell me to put my extra waste in their bin.
Don’t know where you are, but wher I stay, you are limited to one bin unless you can satisfy one of te following conditions, either there are five permanent members in your household or you are on medication that has packaging. I applied because I’m on betaferon, I don’t think they checked how much packaging there is because they got back to me very quickly (with a second bin lol). There’s not much packaging with betaferon, imagine I ill be like rebif tbh. Just write that on the frm and you should be fine. Cheryl:-)
