People often ask me why i decided to move from the UK to Canada.
An attempt at humour usually claims that i was ‘ahead of the Brexit trend by a few years’…
But emigration is a big undertaking and serious stuff, and situations such as the one detailed in the linked to news article below, remind me in all sincerity, why my new home succeeds whilst my country of origin continues to fail:
To be concise, in the UK there are too many instances of ‘an unreasonable barrier to access.’
I urge you all to petition for change.

I totally agree. So Canada eh? I have been there many times and loved it. The people were so friendly and helpful. Where in Canada are you.? Ottawa? How long have you been there? Sorry lots of questions but I am interested when people live in different countries. Anne x

Hi, waaay back in 1973, my sis in law and hubby emigrated to Canada, swiftly followed by bro in law, wife and 2 young sons, then parents in law joined them.
Their stories since have given many angles, which some might say would`ve happened had they never left the UK.
Here`s a quick run down;
Sis in law divorced her english hubby, fell for a local governor who promised his undying love, but didnt want any scandal, so led her on for 10 years. His wife found out and tried to shoot sis in law.
Parents in law, came and went a total of 6 times, cos they didnt know which side of the pond they liked best. But finished their days in uk as healthcare and housing benefits were better.
Bro in law became a millionaire 3 times and lost the lot when he cheated on each wife and they had good lawyers.
Interesting tale, isnt it?
Good luck to you paolo, but I honestly prefer to stay in my own country. Each to his or her own, etc…

A everyday story of ordinary Yorkshire folk.
Stay tuned for this week’s exciting episode.
(btw I’ve got a cousin in Alberta. “It’s so flat you can watch your dog run away from home for 3 days”.)

Hi Paolo, just read your link. Mmm, a cannabis derivative in the medipen certainly sounds interesting. And it lists such a myriad of conditions it might help. Doesn’t mention my HSP, but then it is so little known, even amongst the medical fraternity, I’m not surprised!
My oh has both oesteo and rheumatoid arthritis. Some time ago I mentioned to our daughters that cannabis might help both their mum and dad. One of them said, ‘Imagine if we come visit and find mum and dad both spaced out on the sofa!’
Yeh, just imagine eh?

PS is medipen available in Canada?
