PIP

Can a medical report for ESA be used for Pip instead of another medical?

Not as far as I know. I think the decision made for PIP has to be based on evidence supplied for PIP. Part of that evidence I suppose could be, for eg that you have qualified for ESA and are in the support group, but I would expect that a medical report for one is used just for that benefit.

This is just off the top of my head.

For more information look at the CAB website: Sick or disabled people and carers - Citizens Advice or consider joining benefits and work (if you haven’t already: http://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/

A PIP assessment is not a medical in that they are looking at your ability to get around and daily living as opposed to your ability to work. There is a difference to how they are judged. You can ask for the ESA medical to be used as supporting evidence but an assessment will more than likely to have to happen. Very few applications will not needs an assessment.

sorry
