Hello all,can anyone help I was awarded standed rate on the daily living about 2 years ago I was awarded 9points. I had my reassessment last month with another face to face. I’ve received a letter today saying pip has not been awarded and ended from the 9th of this month as I only scored 7points, they have taken 2points away for the getting dressed question I have balance problems and have weakness in my right leg it will just give way without warning. When dressing/undressing I have to hold on to something or sit down as I experience dizzy kind a feeling to. My letter states as I can dress sitting down or holding on to something it says this is a reasonable adjustment. I was awarded 2 points previously as its classed as using an aid. I read on this site the points system had talk of changing but after talk in government it got scrapped can anyone help please. Many thanks x
Do this PIP test. Can you score more points in other areas?

Hi pj thank you for your reply,well I thought I I did but again they thought otherwise. I just didn’t understand how I could be awarded points the samething than to have them taken away,couple years later
You are entitled to a mandatory reconsideration out you feel they’ve got it wrong. Try to get evidence to back up your claim. They do change the award if you can satisfy them that you meet the descriptors.
My point to them is I should of been awarded the 2 points as I was a couple years ago for needing an aid to dress being it be a bed,chair or someone or something to hold on to,are there correct in saying its a reasonable adjustment I thought it was quite rude. The question states if you need an aid. I will be asking for a reconsideration, thank you.
