Hi all,
Yes, the dreaded PIP Review Form Saga. I received mine. The date it was due back was 21 October 2016. I contacted Citizen’s Advice to make an appointment so that the form was sent back “correctly”. My appointment was on 18 October 2016.
I rang DWP to advise my appointment with CAB was 18 October and form was due back on 21 October. They gave me 2 weeks extra.
So, my panic to get said form back on time correctly completed had subsided somewhat.
I had my appointment with CAB, said form duly completed, together with every letter and document from Neuropsychologist, MS Specialist Nurse, GP and uncle Tom Cobley and all … made my way to Post Office and sent First Class Signed For on 18 October.
I did my best…or so I thought …WRONG!
I have received a letter to advise my PIP has been stopped because I did not send the form back.
Got straight on the phone to DWP and explained above only to be told my form WAS received on 20th. They are now going to look into the matter and I will receive a phone call, “probably” tomorrow from a Case Manager.
I know that most if not all of us have had similar happenings, but I thought I would share this info with you all, just for a rant. There are so many in the same boat, I realise this, but what a total waste of time, money and energy for all concerned, not to mention the stress and anxiety this causes.
Rant over, words fail me!!
