Hello, today I received a letter from the DWP titled Annual Advice,it’s states that the Daily Living & Mobility are for the enhanced rate for an ongoing period.

i was previously on higher rate DLA indefinite award, does this ongoing award for PIP mean the same or is it likely to be reviewed for example 2/3 years time.Is this ongoing award the the best that you could hope to get in terms of length of time.Does anybody have any different times on their PIP timescales.

thanks for reading this.

Hi, sorry but I`m not too clear on what you`re saying hun.

Have you gone over to PIP yet? If so I think it isnt an indefinte award, as others here have said their awards are for set amounts of time. Then they have to re–apply. Rediculous when we are already on DLA indefinite awards.

I have transferred over to PIP now and the letter says you are entitled to mobility and daily living at the enhanced rate on an ongoing basis,it’s the ongoing basis term that I am a little unsure of.

I’ve just had a look at the guide to PIP on the [http://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/](http://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/) website.

It appears that you can get an indefinite award. But do expect to have your entitlement reviewed every few years anyway. Just in case you’ve had a miraculous recovery from MS.

Hi

In response to your question on timescales, I received my decision yesterday and was also awarded enhanced rates for both daily living and mobility. The letter said both for an.ongoing period and on page 2 of the letter it said they will contact me again after February 2026. Hope this helps answer your question.

My god, I want mine to be awarded at the enhanced rate for 10 years. I will be wishing and hoping for that. I hope it happens that way for us all. Maybe that’s going to become common for those of us with current ‘lifetime’ maximum DLA awards. We can only hope.

Well here’s hoping Sue, I think that should be the case anyway. Wishing you and everyone still going through the change over from DLA to PIP all the best.
