Persistent high signal

Hi All

Does anybody know what " persistent high signal of the right trigeminal nerve " means?

My MRI report says no change with other lesions but this is noted about this lesion.

I think it means it is still active? Can they still be active 2 years from first MRI?

Or does it mean I have had a new relapse?

I’m not sure but I understand that people can have ‘smouldering lesions’ which just ‘smoulder’ away for years causing slow worsening of symptoms

I do wonder is lesions normally continue to show as high signal or they normally dont show that after a few months.
