Greeting

Who can tell me the nutrient quality of hake?

I’m becoming a fish eating vegetarian.

With green chiilies, of course.

Dunno.

You’ve got the Ology, V!

I prefer oily fish and their high omega3 content, but hake seems perfectly healthy.

Note to self; ask Val - what is a nutrient?

All fish is good for you - full of protein - and omega3. Even tinned fish like sardines/pilchards and tinned mackerel. With tinned fish you can of course it the whole fish including the bones as they are so soft - so you are getting lots of calcium as well. And its been proven that eating fish does increase brainpower/memory.

Chillies are also very good for you - so you are definitely on a winner with your recipe of Hake and chillies.

Hake is also a ‘sustainable fish’ - so you get Brownie points with that.

Hi Frances

This is good news for me, because I’m eating it quite a lot - it’s so nice.

Chopped green chillies, fresh coriander, garlic, ginger, cumin and turmeric is making me some fantastic food. I have an Asian cash and carry a few miles away and it’s all beautiful and fresh. It suits my pocket and my taste!

Thanks for the info.

Mark
