NICE guidelines for MS: patient explanation

Came across this earlier this morning and thought that some of you would find it helpful / interesting.

I haven't read it all, but I think it is basically an easy-to-read explanation of the NICE full guidelines for MS which is a monster document and full of stuff that most people really don't want to wade through!

Some interesting things in there, e.g. if MS is suspected, a patient should see a specialist within 6 weeks and have all tests completed within the following 6 weeks! Hmm. Not exactly our experience on the whole!

PS The guidelines are being updated, but aren't due for a while so these are the ones currently being acted on.

Just realised that the title of my post is easy to misinterpret - it's not a patient explanation, it's an explanation for patients :-)

LOL!

What an interesting document! For whatever stage people are at.

Many thanks for pointing us in the right direction.
