Hi I got diagnosed almost 8 weeks ago
I have had Togo back to work due to no help Christmas having 5 kids and also birthdays aswell. I have a RRMS and ove the past week I have developed a s nation in my arms now once the sensation gets stronger what ever arm it’s in sezies up then violently cramps and locks up and starts almost having a seizure for around 10 seconds then it gradually stops but this happens around 15 times a day when it happens I loose function and have to stop what I am doing is this and attack or a flee up I don’t know.
My head can’t get used to what an attack is as I apparently have already had attacks the MRI showed and I didn’t even know.

Hi John,
I think they define a relapse as any new symptom that lasts over 24 hours. In my experience it doesn’t have to be continuous - if it happens more than one day in a row that seems to count. Definitely worth telling your MS team about this. Do you have a phone number or email for the MS nurses?
I’m guessing if you’re just 8 weeks since diagnosis you won’t be on a DMT yet. But this might impact on treatment choice. They might also have some more immediate advice about the symptoms.
As regards the MRI, mine had lots of lesions when I was diagnosed and yet I’d had no symptoms over the years… I think some lesions are “silent” - for whatever reason, your brain compensates and you don’t get symptoms from them.
