New MS Diagnosis’s

Hi

I am a 61 year old male.

I have just been diagnosed with MS. The neurologist confirmed I meet the McDonald criteria. My MS is dormant and my MRI showed no dissemination in time.

I can’t remember ever having any symptoms, however I have several T2 lesions.

Ido not know what to expect from or how to approach my MS. Any advise would be welcome.

Sorry you have joined the ms club.

I am 58 and was confirmed ms in jan this year.

Have they spoke about treatment?

Hi, I’m curious to know how this came about. With having no symptoms, what started the investigation?

Hi T,

Thankfully no meds at the moment. Hope it stays that way.

Hi PBMS,

This all started with a tremor in my right hand. My GP was concerned that I may have had Parkinson’s, and advised I see a neurologist. The neurologist discounted Parkinson’s and sent me for an MRI. The MRI showed lesions in the white matter and on the spine. I then had an MRI with contrast. The MRI, showed no dissemination in time ( lesions not active). I then had a lumber puncture, which confirmed MS. The neurologist has said the tremor is not related to MS, it is what is known as benign tremor.

Although I have lesions, I cannot remember having any type of symptoms described by MS suffers.

The neurologist has diagnosed the MS as none active at the moment.
