My main symptoms

About a year ago I started to develop intense itchy areas on my lower right leg. Hardly noticeable to the eye but felt like the itch/burning sensation went right down to the bone. Nothing alleviated the feeling, tried oral painkillers, antihistamine and ibuprofen creams. Then I developed a patch in the same place on my left leg, same intense burning itching feeling 24/7. This went on for about 6 months when it did subside somewhat, but has continued to some degree to this day.
I have also been getting no end of migraine auras, sometimes several in one day. Optician gave me a thorough examination but no sign of O.N.
Weak wrists, ankles, knees. Neck and backache with what feels like severe cramps in my middle back, which almost brings me to my knees when it strikes.
I also feel that my coordination is slightly ‘off’, my legs don’t cooperate if that makes sense.
Any physical activity ( even 20 mins in garden) can leave me in pain for several days.
Another weird sympton is stabbing pains randomly anywhere on my body, feeling like someone has inserted a fine needle directly into a nerve for a few seconds.
At 60 years old it could just be ‘getting old’ but I am starting to suspect M.S…

Hi, could be MS…but also could be a number of other issues. Late onset of MS is rarer but not unknown.

Best thing you can do is get referred to a neurologist.

Diagnosis of MS as you get older is probably overlooked sometimes as there are more immediate and more likely causes.
I was diagnosed at 62 after what I now know was a major relapse. I suspect I had shrugged off others as just getting older. Doctors have to differentiate between the zebras and the horses. Most older people presenting with symptoms will be suffering from common complaints (the horses), but very rarely they will be very uncommon and unexpected (MS in the old is the horse with black and white stripes).
If you were a young fit female, MS might be on the list of possibles. Older and male it is possible but rare.
I do get a little annoyed when doctors talk about stopping DMTs on grounds of age rather than how long they have been used for.
