music lover

there’s a song for all occasions.

just now doing the laundry for the 3 men who live with me ( husband and 2 sons age 27 and 29)

when it came to their work socks (poo) there was only one song for it.

Stink Foot by Frank Zappa

“your stickfoot puts a hurt on my nose, stinkfoot, stickfoot, i ain’t lying, can you rinse it off do you suppose”

i’m going to end up in a home for the bewildered because i’m always singing and having fits of giggles.

ooops.

music. so subjective. so personal. so emotive. an art form bereft of light; truly the greatest of all black magic.

Seen a few dangerous kitchens in my time carole so always starts my mind off with that tune, and brings a smile to my face haha.

You know what happens when a song gets stuck in your brain and you can’t get rid of it no matter what you do?

This is fine when it’s something you particularly like (e.g. Anything by David Bowie except ‘The Laughing Gnome’). It’s absolutely terrible when it’s something dreadful. Like ‘there’s a rat in my kitchen, what am I gonna do’.

The latter has now infested my brain like a musical tape worm. And I blame you.

The old UB40 tune no Carole catchy tune though. I was thinking of the old zappa tune ’ the dangerous kitchen ’ think a few kitchens i’ve seen had a family of rats living in them though haha.
