MS sufferers need fair access to treatments and services

A survey by the MS Society has found that six in 10 people eligible for treatment were not getting the latest medicine, even though new drugs are available on the NHS. The report said access to drugs was a “postcode lottery”, with patients in Northern Ireland twice as likely to be having treatment as those in Wales. In a letter to The Daily Telegraph, notable figures including Sally Gunnell, Eddie Izzard and Billie Piper called for equal treatment for all.
