Terrible muscle spasm in both or either leg every night. Pain like a knife in bone. No rest and I am at the end of my tether.
l know the feeling well - l take Amitriptyline 25mg - at night - plus 750mg magnesium and 10.000ius of vitd3. Along with 3sprays of Sativex - this helps so much with muscle pain/spasms. l also take LDN. We all seem to suffer in different ways with this disease. Some people seem to sleep for hours - l am the opposite and rarely get more then 4/5 hrs a night - and l do not ‘nap’ during the day - in fact l try to keep moving all the time. Once l sit down for any length of time l seem to seize up.
l have had SPMS for 31yrs now - so not as long as you. lts worth googling ‘magnesium ms’ or vitd3 deficiency / magnesium ms’
Hope this has been of some help.

Tasman I’ve been suffering with this for the last 12 months and can’t remember last time I had a full nights sleep. I try & catch up through the day wherever/whenever possible, not ideal but needs must. I hope you start to feel some relief soon.
Thank you, Bambi19 and Campion, Will consider your advice.
This may be of help for you ---- I modified two plantar fascia splints. ( they are useless in the form sold on ebay) and put these on when violent jumping commences.
Any form of stretch may help — put your leg up the short edge of a wardrobe. My tendons are shortened so absolute vertical is impossible but any angle which allows gravity to do something can break the sequence of ever increasing gripping tighter madness in your legs. Be very careful - when the spasm hits and your leg is under stretch I sometimes think I could break a bone.
