In short, yes, it could mean MS, however MS is not the only condition that can cause demyelination, neither does it say there was definitely demyelination - only “likely”. So try to stay open-minded, as it will be part of your neuro’s job to decide what interpretation to put on it.
I wish they wouldn’t send out results like this, with no interpretation, because it doesn’t really help. It does indicate there is something not normal, but an expert might look and decide the shape or distribution of the “nodules” isn’t typical of MS.
Presumably you have a neuro appointment in the not-too-distant future to discuss these results, and what they may mean?

thank you tina i have had symptoms for a few years but aint much further forward neurologist said some years ago it was neuropathic pain i have pain in legs arms neck is stiff and memory aint brilliant i have to see neurologist end of march i have had to have b12 injections now 1 a month plus 4 months of folic acid was checked for anemia but came back clear fingers are constantly numb its all doing my head in to be honest
